Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker player on the planet by quite a few of the top-ranked pros. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and moved to New Jersey before reaching turning one. His grandfather taught Phil one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was hooked on poker and wanted to learn every little thing he possibly could about poker. He routinely would tell his parents that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He did not let the adverse comments from others annihilate his dream of being one of the greatest poker players on the planet.

He began playing intently after getting a false ID by the name of Jerome. He sharpened his abilities at the casinos of Atlantic City. Phil decided to take his skills to the next level and headed out west to Las Vegas. He continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players on the planet. Ivey credits his success to dedication and an undying passion for the game of poker. He states that he is learning every single day and is quite humble about his achievements. Phil knows he makes errors in each session of poker and always aspires to improve.

Despite the fact that Ivey has won some big-time tournaments, he prefers destroying money games on a normal basis.
