Online poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the house rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different players are given 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s initial card, you have to either make a call bet or accede. The call wager’s value is akin to your original ante, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantly to the house. After the wager comes the face off. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, with an amount in accordance with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The bank pony’s up money even with your wager and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

• Equal for a pair or high card
• two to one for two pairs
• three to one for three of a kind
• 4-1 for a straight
• 5-1 for a flush
• seven to one for a full house
• twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
• fifty to one for a straight flush
• 100-1 for a royal flush
